We were looking at included in an additional Galdiator product As i purchased. I love the majority Gladiator products but these are typically horrible. They MIGHT strip. Use a few traditional wood anchoring screws instead. As most of the others have claimed: YUCK! I bought 2 boxes these and realized later such a pain it would be to try to cooperate with these in my own garage. Go some other route but dont work with these. I employ Walldog anchor anchoring screws for EVERYTHING... no more hassle no longer stud finding (I can find a few studs and in that case drive these in wherever with zero mess with anchors! In drywall alone they are able to hold 60lbs for each screw. Ive drilled these in drywall studs together with masonry. AND you can receive them with white-colored screw heads! I use 5 for a 42 track together with havent had any issues with the heads getting with respect to the attaching gearworks solutions. I cant imaging doing such a previous reviewer indicated - drilling start holes and hand-screwing a lot of these screws. Maybe its ACCEPTABLE if youre performing a few pieces with GearTrack but my own installation was across 40 GearWall sections (over 1000 screws) and I might have gone mad had I implemented these. Not to bring up the prohibitive cost (especially to get a poorly made screw). For any individual doing a good sized installation do one self a favor and buying some Headcote square-drive anchoring screws. The downside is they will dont have some sort of matching head colors (I used the typical gray head) nonetheless they go in like butter also you never have to care about pre-drilling or draining. Because they are square-head almost no pressure must drive these screws - you may drive hundreds without the need of getting tired (assuming youre which has a cordless driver). As soon as you go square-head youll never get hold of Phillips again. Gladiator may be doing their customers a giant service by contracting along with the Headcote manufacturer to produce their #8 back button 2 square-head screws inside GearWall color to make sure that we could get hold of quality screw as well from Gladiator or from third party distributors. These arent the complete ones to use but now you can see the quality in the picture: Ipe Decking-2-1/4 Dark Headcote screwsBottom sections - Ill live along with the gray heads... after all most are covered using gear! These anchoring screws are awful. They ll not sink flush along with the track. They strip easily. You can do what the other review said and take even more time is vital. Or you can purchase regular 2 dry wall screws and get a much better time. I like the fact that dark screws contrast along with the white tracks. Last but not least this review DON T BUY THESE ANCHORING SCREWS. These screws are constructed of aluminum which means that they can not rust. Unfortunately the aluminum can be so soft that they not be implemented. I tried several screws and all stripped to look at used my look. This is damaging two reasons1 - They are going to strip simply uses get them flush2 - They re just difficult to remove right after they are 1/2 in the studFinal Verdict -I must return them oh no- the store. I can't imaging doing what a previous reviewer suggested - drilling pilot holes and hand-screwing these screws. Maybe it's OK if you're doing a few pieces of GearTrack, but my installation was over 40 GearWall panels (over 1000 screws), and I would have gone insane had I used these. Not to mention the prohibitive cost (especially for a poorly made screw).For anyone doing a large installation, do yourself a favor and buy some Headcote square-drive screws. The downside is that they don't have a matching head color (I used the standard gray head), but they go in like butter, and you never have to worry about pre-drilling or stripping. Because they are square-head, very little pressure is required to drive these screws - you can drive hundreds without getting tired (assuming you're using a cordless driver). These screws are awful. They will not sink flush with the track. They strip very easily. You can do what the second review said and take a lot more time is needed. Or you can buy regular 2 inch dry wall screws and have a much easier time. I like the way the dark screws contrast with the white tracks. To sum up this review, DO NOT BUY THESE SCREWS.
